  This is the first time in many years that I have been a bit tardy in getting the
SPESFEED News out. I have been fully occupied getting the latest edition of
the Poultry Nutrition book ready for publication (more of this below).
2012 and has started with a bang, with the commodity market going mad.
First it shot up, and then it dropped like a stone. Many millers took some
cover at the high prices (there was talk of a physical shortage), so it may
take a while before the lower prices reach the market place. The recently
announced tariffs on imported broiler meat will come as a relief to all.
